I love the way my vessel came out. I really like the colors and the shape also size of it. I think if i worked on it longer i could of made it more smooth and add more design on it.
The little hearts on my vessel either have the color orange or yellow on it. It looks neat.
The shape of my heart was nice, but on the bottom it had a little air bubble on it. Overall it is very nice.
Close Up Photos.
The outcome of my clay vessel is neat & smooth. It isn't as bad as i thought it would be. The shape and size came out exactly as i wanted it too. Now all i'm looking forward to is painting it. It looks very nice! I really love that i got the opportunity to make my first project like this :D
The inside of the clay vessel is nice and soft. It isn't to thin or too thick!
I carefully added smaller hearts on the side so i could have a little repitition & something more to my clay vessel than it just being the clay itself.
The side of the clay is a bit bumpy but still feels very smooth.
The curves of the heart was as nicely shaped as it could be. I carefully used my hands to form the shapes to make it more visible as a heart.
There is a lot of room to fit what ever it is i want to put inside & it is nice & wide.
A close up to how the cut out of my mini heart was. I stuck it on with extra clay. (slit)
Preliminary Designs.
My choices of designs were definitely hard to decide which to go with, but the four of eight preliminary designs were a flower plant, heart shaped clay vessel, flower candle clay vessel, and a colorful clay vessel with holes slightly poked in the sides & late i would than choose my colors.
My first top left idea was the snail from the show spongebob, i thought it would be a great idea to make a piggy bank out of him. On the top right is a cheetah print book holder to hold my school papers and folders. Bottom left is a jewelry box that i could use for my earrings or maybe put all of my saved movie tickets inside it. Bottom right is a mug painted with zebra print stripes.
