Clay Vessel Reflection
1. What are the good & strong parts of your project? What is done well & why?The good parts of my project is how i got to make it smooth & make sure it was not to thick. The strong part of my project is how it was shaped and the size of it.
3. Describe the form of your project: About how big is it? What is the general form? Why did you choose to do that big and with those shapes? My project is half the size of a book & it is shaped of a heart. I chose a heart only because it is a much nice & calm shape and it still could hold something.
5. Analyze the use of pattern and rhythm: What did you have repeating the most and why? Is there more of a focus on pattern or on rhythm and why?More of a focus. I have a repetition of hearts on my project & they appear on the sides and also the project itself.
7. Describe the design process of your project: Why did you do it the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? Elaborate...I followed exact instructions i was given to make sure i didn't do anything wrong. I made sure air bubbles were out. I also used my hands to smooth out the sides of my project and than i later finished off using the sponge.

2. What do you think you could have done better on this project? What is not great & why?I think i could have done way better with the designs, but i did not want to risk changing it. I thought i would mess up. It is just plain, but i plan to make sure it is very nice with the colors.
4. Describe the purpose of your project: What will your vessel contain / hold and why?My vessel will contain my earrings or whatever i would like to put in there. Mainly because i have so much & there isn't much room for them.
6. Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?I learned that you can't really rush into making your project. It takes time to make sure you have all air bubbles out so it will not blow up in the kilm.
8. Is this a worth while project? What should Mr. Purdy do to this project in the future? This was a great project & i am glad i got the opportunity to learn the skips to making clay. I got to make a project i wanted to make. It was definitely worth it.
