Final Free-Choice Reflection
1. I did a jewelry box for my final project. I used white clay to make the box. It took me two class periods to make and one more period to make the zig zags designs on the sides. I only came in during study halls to make sure it would be fired and glazed on time.
2. The good part of my project was everything because it closes and it actually has a lip to it on the side so the lid will not fall off.
3. I think i could have done a lot better with the lid so it wouldn't be so thin and it'll fit onto the entire box.
4. My project is for jewelry and i have a lot of jewelry. I put certain colors and different colorburst mixtures because many of my necklaces and rings have different types of colors.
5. Important elements that are the strongest in my project is the color and form. I used different colorburst in each layers of my project and the box is 3-D.
6. Principles of elements in my project are unity and rhythm because each of the colorburst have different layers repeating but each are messier and different.
7. I learn that when you actually do a project you know you want to do, it's much easier. As well as many other projects you take your time, but not so much time. When i came into class for study halls i got a lot done.
8. First thought when i was told i could do anything pertaining to clay, i knew i would do a box. I started and finished faster than most of my projects because i knew what i was already going to do. Then I chose my design to make it all over my box. Overall i like my project and how it came out in the end.
9. I wasn't frustrated, i did not have any problems. I was mainly concern with when it would be fired and how much time it'll take me to glaze my project because i needed it to be done so i could get it into the last glaze load.
10. I thought it was a worth while project because i made a jewelry box. I think i will be doing photography, but not much art with drawing or clay. I love photography and i'm sure i will be doing it for fun.
